Annual Sports Event 2019 of AMU Alumni Association Riyadh concluded with grandeur


Riyadh – AMU Alumni Association, Riyadh [AMUAAR] concluded their Annual Sports Event 2019 with sumptuousness. Eng. Owais Ahmad a senior Alig and Managing Director of ARMS International was the Chief Guest of the evening. Syed Aftab Ali Nizami, President of Jamia Millia Islamia Alumni Riyadh Chapter was the Guest of Honor. The program started with the recitation of Noble Qur’an by Dr. Anzar ul Haq and was anchored by General Secretary, AMUAAR – Dr. Mohammad Abul Farah. Dr. Faisal Kamal Zaidi conducted the Prize distribution segment.

Er. Syed Mohammed Mutayyab – President AMUAAR welcomed the dignitaries on the dais and the audience. He expressed his gratitude to the participants in the Sports Event and the gathering who helped them conduct this three-day mega sports event a grand success. He emphasized that participation in sports competition is more important than winning or losing. He was delighted to inform that a large number of females too took part in various activities and won maximum prizes this year. He assured that this annual feast would continue in the years to come with great strength and magnitude. Guest of Honor, Syed Aftab Ali Nizami stressed the need for sports in our daily life as our lifestyle has changed to very less physical activities these days. He assured that JMI Alumni Association would always stand by with AMUAAR and work for hand in hand. He used the simile of two eyes for these two well-recognized organizations in the Kingdom.

Dr. Faisal Kamal Zaidi conducted the Prize distribution by calling on stage the distinguished guests to present the trophies, medals and Certificates to the winners. Following were the winners in different categories:

Prominent members of the Indian community who graced the occasion included Dr. Shaukat Pervez, IISR Principal, Dr. Dilshad Ahmed, former Chairman IISR, Dr. Salman Khalid, Dr. Faisal Kamal Zaidi, Ar. Safeer Ahmed, NRI Forum President – Dr. Sayeed Mohiuddin and others. Students who participated in this three-day long event were overwhelmed to witness this event. A large number of women and girls also attended this event and many were overjoyed to receive trophies and medals.
