Shaam-e-Bihar and Jharkhand observed with great fervor

RIYADH — Bihar Anjuman Riyadh Chapter celebrated their annual program on the outskirts of Riyadh where a large number of Indian community members and their families attended it. They observed the twenty years of formation of Bihar Anjuman Riyadh Chapter by inviting a renowned educationalist, Fahad Rahmani who is the CEO of Rahmani 30, as the chief guest of the evening. While appreciating the activities of Bihar Anjuman he was very delighted to witness the tremendous work carried out by Riyadh Chapter since its inception. He enlightened the audience, elaborating the journey of Rahmani Program of Excellence and how this small initiative has changed the education in that area. He emphasized to take more such initiatives to educate and train the new generation in a better environment. Fahad Rahmani also highlighted the achievements of his institution.

Shakeel Ahmed, a Dubai-based IIT graduate and founder of Bihar Anjuman Riyadh Chapter was the guest of honor. He explained with a PowerPoint presentation the tasks being done in Bihar and Jharkhand to help street children attend school. This is helping in eradicating illiteracy among Indian Muslims and offering them basic technical education to earn their livelihoods. Flower bouquets were presented to Guests on the stage before the speakers arrived at the podium in their sequence.

President of Bihar Anjuman Riyadh Chapter, Mohammad Shahin said the guiding philosophy of Bihar Anjuman is “to light a candle instead of complaining and despairing about darkness.” He requested to community members to come forward to educate society. If we can support the education of even one child, we should do it. He appealed the community members to give back to society and help the less privileged now.

Ghazanfar Ali Khan, Bureau Chief of Arab News appreciated the efforts of Bihar Anjuman Riyadh Chapter and its President Mohammad Shahin. He applauded the efforts Riyadh Chapter team in the field of social welfare and upliftment of education. He also commended Fahad Rahmani of Rahmani 30 who has a done a tremendous job in nurturing young minds for IIT, Medical, Olympiad and other professional education. Saalim Zubaidi explained the value of unity and the importance of education. Salahuddin Manzari also congratulated Bihar Anjuman for their remarkable works. Prominent personalities of the Indian diaspora, Heads of various organizations, Media team were dignitaries among the special guests invited.

Dr. Abul Farah proposed the vote of thanks to guests, audience and media. Ladies wing welcomed Mrs. Rafatur Rahman, Director of Rahmani 30 NRI Branch Bangalore with a memento. Girls and boys participated in the Quiz and Sports Program. Prizes and gifts were awarded to winners.

The program was jointly anchored by Dr. Alimuddin and Afaq Ahmad. Other active members Syed Amanullah, Seraj Akram, Abid Hussain, Nasir Tauqeer, Danish Shaikh, Zafar Imam, Sajid Hussain, Faizuddin, Firoz Ahmad, Maher Alam, Nesar Ahmad, Aftab Alam, Ansar Azam, Shazaad, Shahzeen Eram, Samina Haidri, Najmus Sahar, Shazia Nasreen, Sheeren Amaan, Dr. Suad, Nuzhat, Sheeren, Ishrat, Amna Khatoon and Asmat Ara Simi conducted different activities of the event.
