RIYADH – Nafis Ahmed, who represents Gopalpur constituency of Azamgarh in UP Legislative Assembly, while talking to press reporters said that the 2024 election results will be very much surprising. He said that people are excited to support the alliance. He said this in response to the question “What will be outcome of 2024 elections in UP in the present wave of “India unity” across the country.
MLA Nafis Ahmed is currently on a personal visit to Saudi Arabia. On the invitation of Purwanchal Welfare Association, he attended the Association’s annual Iftar party held in Riyadh. The short welcome ceremony held after Iftar started with the recitation of Holy Quran by Mohammad Ammar Khan. Master of Ceremony, Inamullah Azmi Falahi said in his opening remarks that Nafees Ahmed is basically a social activist. He served as President of Students Union during his college days and now he is serving the people as MLA of Samajwadi Party.
Abdul Ahad Siddiqui, President of Purwanchal Association, while welcoming the guests, said that many great personalities have risen from the fertile soil of Azamgarh. Nafis Ahmed is one of them.
Dr. Nadeem Tareen, a well-known personality of the Indian community, said that Nafis Ahmed is a proud personality for Aligarians. He said that Nafis is the former president of AMU students union and now he is representing the people in the assembly today. He also said that we all should try to keep the candle of Sir Syed always burning by devoting our energies in the field of education.
Nafis Ahmed in his address said that we have considered politics as taboo. Our youths shy away from this field. He also said that by abandoning the attitude of becoming an engineer and doctor, our youth should focus on civil services and law education. It is the need of the hour. Nafis Ahmed also said that our new generation is becoming unfamiliar with civilization and traditions. Training is indispensable with education. Nafis Ahmed finally said that in today’s situation, we should not divide ourselves but should stick together. Give up sloganeering and emotionalism and do concrete work in a quiet manner. He lauded Samajwadi Party Ppresident Akhilesh Yadav’s leadership in eloquent words.
A large number of representatives of Riyadh’s social organizations and members of the association participated in this feast. And a large number of people presented bouquets to Faiz Ahmed and Mohammad Shahid who came with him from India.
