The polar freezing evening of December 14th, the mind-blowing talents of the little Yarians of Grades 3, 4 and 5 was indeed an enchanting evening where the rhythm of the past met the grace of the present. Yara International School was humbly crowned by an array of performances that could hardly hold its audience on their seats. The event reached its full vibrancy with the presence of the Chief Guest Ms. Annie Parwez, Guest of Honor Ms. Juveria Asmath, Principal of Yara International School Ms. Aasima Saleem, Headmistress for Sections 9-12, Ms. Rahmabi Afsal and Headmistress for Sections 4-8, Ms. Shehanas Khan, Headmistress of Homeroom Ms. Mehar Fatima along with the middle leaders.

Led by a Prayer Song, the curtains opened by taking everyone back in time to the Classical era of Bollywood. Followed by the amazing performance of a “Retro to Metro”, the magnanimous Tribal Dance set the scene for an appreciation of ancestors that valued entertainment as a form of art. A day in the 20th century on the outskirts of industrialized America was made possible only because the talented performers of “My Fair Lady”, took the house to a state of dazzle with a note of appreciation from the Chief Guest. Little hands filliped to “WELCOME” everybody in the Chair Dance event with a vibrant wave of young energy. The musical skit which encouraged “Saying NO to plastic” and the Hindi Street Play on Cyber Security was truly wake up call to remind everyone that action through close attention to such controversial issues can help create a better world for everyone to live in.

Rhythms and beats from The Folkdance of God’s Own Country- Kerala was a splendid vibrato that attained all eyes and ears of the audience. The lovely thespians of the Wizard of Oz were indeed a charm as they enthused everyone with the magic of recognizing that after all “There’s no Place like home”. The Arabic fusion with little performers wrapped in black and gold was a real beauty as its microtones mesmerized everybody present. “The Show must go on” rocked the stage paving way to a Patriotic Fusion Dance that ensured goosebumps every step of the way.

An Urdu Nazam, Malayalam Poem, English Speech on “Why I love my school”, enthralling performances by the school choir and a mime full of expressions marked its dominion in the show as fillers that always kept the audience at their best spirits. The event came to its closure having quenched everybody’s thirst to witness the talents of the lads and lasses.
