RIYADH – Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Mayor of Riyadh graced the Republic Day reception organized by the Indian Embassy in Riyadh on Sunday night and inaugurated the event by cutting a ceremonial cake.
The event, held at the Cultural Palace in the Embassy Quarter, saw Indian Ambassador Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan highlight the growing strength of Indo-Saudi relations, underscoring the importance of bilateral visits and meetings between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He noted that the relationship between Saudi Arabia and India is of historical significance and has seen remarkable growth in areas such as technology, education, culture, and trade in recent years.
Dr. Suhel also emphasized the efforts to preserve Indian traditions and culture far from home, with the support of the steering committee and various social organizations.
The Indian Ambassador, Deputy Ambassador, and Army Attaché warmly welcomed guests at the entrance gate. The event featured a documentary on Indo-Saudi relations, followed by a classical dance performance by schoolgirls. The function was conducted by Dinesh Sethia. Indian School students presented classical dance.
