RIYADH – The bustling capital of Saudi Arabia became the epicenter of global labor discussions as the two-day Global Labor Market Conference kicked off on Wednesday. The event saw an impressive gathering of labor ministers from 45 countries, representatives from international organizations, 200 speakers, and more than 5,000 representatives hailing from over 100 countries.

Among the notable participants were the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) National Vice President and former Member of Parliament Ramachandra Kuntia, Telangana Migrant Labour Leader Manda Bheem Reddy, and Andhra Pradesh Social Worker Chetana Jagadish garu, who resides in Riyadh.

Throughout the conference, pivotal meetings were scheduled between government officials, the private sector, and representatives from the International Labor Organization (ILO). More than 50 specialized discussions are set to take place in collaboration with the World Bank and the United Nations Development Program Financial Organization. The conference aims to tackle critical labor market challenges, foster innovative solutions, share best practices, and highlight global experiences. Various agreements between countries and institutions are anticipated to be made during the event.
