We are unsuccessful, not hopeless – Salman Khurshid at IIC Event in Riyadh

Riyadh – In order to discuss the burning issues of the country and the nation and find solutions to them, the sympathizers and social activists of the Riyadh Indian community organized a meeting under the banner of “India Islamic Cultural Centre (IICC) Overseas Members Riyadh”. A reception ceremony was organized under the IICC Riyadh Chapter in cooperation with social organizations and activists of Riyadh.

The country’s prominent politician Salman Khurshid and the honest leader and orator Akhtarul Iman (MLA Bihar) were invited as the chief guests and guests of honor. Murshid Kamal, Akhtarul Islam, Ghazanfar Ali Khan, and colleagues made the event a success with the cooperation of Dr. Nadeem Tareen and other well-wishers.

The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Shabbir Nadvi. After his opening remarks, Murshid Kamal handed over the mic to the moderator Akhtarul Islam for the formal opening of the meeting.

Murshid Kamal said in his formal welcome remarks that the IICC seems to be failing in its purpose due to not meeting the expectations of the nation. To remedy this, a wise personality like Salman Khurshid has been entrusted with the reins of the institution. Now all the members are hopeful that Salman Khurshid will achieve the purpose of establishing the IICC.

Addressing the gathering, Muhammad Zaigham Khan, Convener All India Steering Committee, shed detailed light on the destruction of the constitutional rights of minorities and the deteriorating conditions of the country. He hoped that under the leadership of Salman Khurshid, the IICC will meet the expectations of minorities and Muslims by achieving the status of a center for solving these problems.

Akhtarul Iman, a member of AIMIM in the Bihar Assembly and a fiery speaker, said that the supremacy of sect over religion is weakening our national unity. Also, the reason for the weakness of the Muslim community is the lack of political power. He further said that the problems of Muslims in India started with the partition of the country. Akhtarul Iman appreciated the patriotism of the Indians living here and said that you provide financial support to the country’s religious schools, but there are also a large number of Muslim contemporary educational institutions in the country that deserve and await your help.

Akhtarul Iman said that IICC should become the center of solutions to these problems and fulfill the purpose of its establishment. He pointed out the bias and communalism of the country’s mainstream media and said that this trend is bringing the country to the brink of destruction.

Senior Congress leader and President IICC Salman Khurshid said that the situation in the country will change soon. We are not failures, we are not hopeless. Indeed, the situation in the country is critical, the India Alliance will overcome the storm of hatred and India will change very soon. He said that Congress has never kept Muslims away from politics. Congress openly used the word Muslim, otherwise Muslims were always considered a minority.

Veteran politician and former Union Minister Salman Khurshid said that we will raise issues at the national level and will work tirelessly to resolve them. The results of our efforts will be visible soon. You should continue to bless us with your suggestions and increase the membership of IICC.

Memorable mementos were also presented to the guests at this event. Zeej Printers’ website “Tajurba House” was also inaugurated on this occasion. The event, held at a five-star hotel in Riyadh, was attended by IICC members, members of social organizations in Riyadh and a large number of Indian men and women. Akhtarul Islam, an active member of the Nadvi organization, kept the gathering pleasant and interesting with his memorable speeches and poems. Finally, the event concluded with a vote of thanks from senior NRI and President of Puranchal Welfare Association Abdul Ahad Siddiqui.
