
RIYADH — In a gesture of profound recognition and respect, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman has issued a directive to rename a street in the northern Hittin neighborhood of Riyadh in honor of the late Dr. Motleb Al-Nafisah. The announcement, reported by the Saudi Press Agency on Sunday, highlights Dr. Al-Nafisah’s unparalleled contributions to the nation over an impressive career spanning more than six decades.
Dr. Al-Nafisah, who passed away on March 27, 2025, was a revered statesman and one of the Kingdom’s most dedicated public servants. His enduring legacy is evident through his pivotal role in establishing and shaping many of Saudi Arabia’s legal and administrative frameworks. Beginning his illustrious journey in 1962 as a legal advisor at the Council of Ministers, Dr. Al-Nafisah’s commitment and expertise led him to serve in numerous high-ranking capacities.
Among his notable roles were deputy director general at the Institute of Public Administration and head of the Bureau of Experts at the Council of Ministers, where he served for two decades. Dr. Al-Nafisah’s contributions extended further as a member of critical entities such as the Supreme Economic Council, the Civil and Military Service Councils, and various ministerial committees. His tenure as minister of state and a member of the Council of Ministers marked the pinnacle of a career defined by dedication and integrity.
