Riyadh – In a heartwarming display of compassion and solidarity, a Telugu woman residing in Saudi Arabia has come to the aid of a fellow compatriot, a nurse from Hyderabad, who was left alone and vulnerable after a devastating road accident.
The 34-year-old nurse, employed in the Bisha region, suffered severe injuries in a horrific car accident in the Al Baha-Taif area three months ago. The accident left her car completely destroyed and resulted in critical injuries requiring immediate medical intervention. She was airlifted from the accident site and received advanced treatment, including brain and spinal surgeries, at Bisha Hospital. Despite her physical recovery, the emotional trauma of being alone in a foreign land, without the comfort of family or anyone who spoke her native Telugu, left her deeply distressed.
Moved by her plight, Usha, a Telugu community activist and Janasena Veeramahila leader based in Riyadh—700 kilometers away from Bisha—reached out to the nurse. Usha provided daily emotional support, encouraging the nurse and standing by her side like an elder sister, even as her own children were preparing for exams. When the nurse expressed her desire to return to India for further treatment, Usha not only arranged for her travel but also covered the expenses.
Demonstrating extraordinary commitment, Usha traveled over 2,200 kilometers, accompanying the nurse from Bisha to Jeddah, and finally ensuring her safe return to Hyderabad alongside her husband, Erranna. Usha expressed her gratitude to the Saudi authorities, the hospital staff, and her husband for their support throughout the ordeal.

Usha, known for her previous humanitarian efforts in the Telugu community, stated, “I see a sister in every Telugu woman in distress. Inspired by my party chief, Pawan Kalyan, I feel it is my duty to help.” Her selfless service has drawn widespread praise from the community.
This incident stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of humanity and the strength of community bonds, even far from home. The Telugu community in Saudi Arabia and beyond has lauded Usha’s remarkable empathy and action, highlighting the importance of compassion and support for those in need, regardless of borders.
