RIYADH – Passengers aboard Air India Express (AIX) Flight IX‑346 from Dubai to Kozhikode were left boiling inside the aircraft this morning as the AC system completely failed. With outside temperatures soaring close to 40°C, the cabin turned suffocating & unbearable.
Despite the distress, passengers-including children, elderly, and emergency travelers — were made to sit in these inhumane conditions for over 4 hours, only to be finally told to deboard & cancelled. The chaos was worsened by a complete lack of communication or accountability from the airline.
Shockingly, a similar incident occurred just 3 days ago on Flight IX‑196 from Dubai to Jaipur – highlighting a dangerous pattern of negligence in passenger care by Air India and AIX.
These repeated lapses are no longer just technical issues — they are a serious threat to passenger health, dignity, & safety.
Enough is enough!
The DGCA must intervene immediately with strict action to end this unacceptable, recurring failure in basic service standards. “Force Majeure” provision doesn’t apply always, which TATA/AIE please to note!.
Passengers deserve dignity-not distress.
