
AMARAVATI, AP – A delegation of prominent Telugu expatriates from Saudi Arabia, representing SATA (Saudi Arabia Telugu Association) Central, met with the Honorable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, at the State Secretariat in Amaravati on Tuesday. The meeting focused on the welfare of the Telugu diaspora in Saudi Arabia and strengthening community ties with their home state.
The SATA Central delegation, led by key leader Mr. Muzammil Shaik of Ongole and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) women’s wing leader Ms. Gadde Shilpa, briefed the Chief Minister on the extensive services provided by the organization to the Telugu community. Mr. Shaik described SATA Central as a “beacon of hope” for Telugus in the vast desert kingdom, working around the clock to address their needs. He detailed the organization’s collaborative efforts with the Indian Embassy in Riyadh and Saudi Arabian government officials to assist expatriates from Andhra Pradesh.
Muzammil also highlighted the effective coordination between SATA Central and the Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu (APNRT) Society. The delegation extended special thanks to APNRT Chairman Mr. Vemuri Ravi and TDP Gulf Wing President Mr. Radhakrishna for their continuous support and cooperation.
Ms. Gadde Shilpa elaborated on the delegation’s initiatives to strengthen the Telugu Desam Party in the Gulf region. She emphasized the crucial role of women in expanding the party’s presence and activities in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf nations.
Chief Minister Naidu, who recognized Ms. Shilpa from a recent meeting, commended her dedication and efforts. In turn, Ms. Shilpa extended a formal invitation to the Chief Minister to visit Saudi Arabia. In his closing remarks, the Chief Minister encouraged expatriate women to take an active role in building the party’s foundation abroad and in enhancing the prestige and honor of the global Telugu community.
