RIYADH – The International Indian Professionals Association (IIPA) successfully hosted a vibrant online quiz competition to celebrate the 79th Indian Independence Day, bringing together 65 children from various schools across Saudi Arabia for a morning of patriotic engagement and intellectual challenge.
The event, held online, was designed to connect the younger generation with their Indian heritage. The celebration commenced with a warm welcome from the host, IIPA Vice President Mir Mujahed Ali, who set a patriotic tone for the event by singing lines from a well-known national song.
The quiz was expertly conducted by quiz master Dr. Mohammed Abdul Matheen, who kept the participants energized and engaged with a series of interesting and thought-provoking questions about India’s history and culture.
The event was further enriched by the presence of two inspirational guest speakers. Ms. Syeda Juwairia of Toastmasters Club Riyadh delivered a powerful message on the true meaning of freedom, encouraging the young audience to think beyond the conventional. Following her, Master Mir Mohid Ali, a 7th-grade student from NMEIS, offered a unique student’s perspective on the significance of Independence Day for Indians living abroad. He highlighted the importance of unity in diversity and spoke on how every individual can contribute to the nation’s progress.
The competition culminated in the announcement of the “Shining Stars of Knowledge,” with the top three quiz champions being recognized for their exceptional performance. IIPA extended its congratulations to the winners and praised all 65 participants for their enthusiastic involvement.
In a closing statement, IIPA expressed its gratitude to all the students, parents, and distinguished guests who made the celebration a memorable success. Special recognition was given to IIPA executive members Azmat Shaik and Kaleem Pasha for their diligent planning and flawless execution of the event.
