Gulbarga – It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Janab Zaheeruddin Quraishy, a former BSNL employee and a distinguished personality of Gulbarga. He passed away last night at the relatively young age of 67, leaving his family and community in profound grief.
Zaheeruddin Quraishy was a well-known and highly respected figure in the city. He was also the beloved uncle and guardian of Dr. Sayeed Mohiuddin, Editor of Times of NRIs.
Throughout his career with BSNL, Janab Quraishy served in various positions across Karnataka, earning a reputation for his dedication and integrity. He was a humble and down-to-earth individual, always ready to extend a helping hand to those in need. His compassionate nature touched many lives, and he will be remembered for his quiet generosity.
He is survived by his three daughters and a son, an M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering currently working in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The family had recently celebrated the wedding of his youngest daughter, a dentist, just last week, making his sudden departure even more poignant.
The news of his passing has sent a wave of shock and sorrow through his wide circle of family, friends, and acquaintances, who remember him with the highest esteem. Relatives working abroad in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and other countries are gathering online to hold a condolence meeting and pay their respects.
We extend our deepest sympathies to the bereaved family during this difficult time. May Allah forgive his sins and grant him the highest ranks in Jannah.
