
IISJ marks the venue for the XXXIII Cluster Meet CBSE Inter School Debate.
Jeddah – International Indian School, host for the XXXIII Cluster Meet held the Inter School English Debate Competition on Thursday, 9th of October 2025, here at the school auditorium. Representing the event, various schools participated in the junior and senior category.
The Department of English led by Vice Principal Madam Farha, HM Madam Sadiqa Tarannum, Madam Maimona Jabeen and Madam Farhana Khan had the privilege to organise the Debate for the day. The team was actively supported by the entire faculty of IISJ -GS and BS.
The program commenced with the recitation of few verses from The Holy Quran by Master Furqan Vasi, followed by the translation by Master Nooh Aslam. The host warmly welcomed the August gathering.
The topic debated by juniors was - ’Social Media Platforms Are Responsible For The Chaos In the Society’.
The topic debated by Seniors was- ‘Artificial Intelligence Is A Boon for Our Modern Structure Of Society’.
The panel of judges for juniors and seniors consisted of: Ms Fatmah Azam Ali, Program Director and Vice President at Master English Education and Training (GCC) and a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM). Mr Sameer Veeran, Chief Financial Officer of a Saudi- French Company and a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) and Passionate Communicator. The third jury for juniors, was Dr.Khaja Yaminuddin, a renowned Diabetes Care Specialist and Motivational Speaker and a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM). Along with Dr Jameel Ahmed from the Applied College, King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia, for the senior level competition.
All the participants vehemently defended their stand, showcasing a phenomenal performance. The jury motivated the students by their precious feedback on the event. The Principal Dr Mohammad Imran also addressed the gathering with his auspicious words before proceeding to announce the results.
The results were announced by Vice Principal Madam Farha, and the prizes were honoured by the principal and the guests. The host School Principal, Dr Mohammad Imran flanked by Vice Principal, HMs of various blocks, distributed the prizes and certificates to the individual winners.
THE RESULTS:
The best speaker first position, at juniors- against, was bagged by Master Kanav Merchant from IISJ, followed by second position by Master Kanishk Madhwa from IIS Jubail and third position was a tie among three, Gauri Pumal Kumar from Yara International school, Sarah Junaid from Al Falah International School and Soumalya B from Dunes International School Jubail.



The best speaker in juniors FOR the motion was coveted by Master Hamid Sirajuddin from Al Falah DPS Jeddah, followed by second position was shared between Afrah Ashraf from IIS Jubail and Ariba Emaan from IIS Dammam. Whereas the third position was clinched by Ameer Abdul Azaz from New Al Wurood International School.
In the senior debate, the best speaker ‘For’ and ‘Against’ – was coveted by Al Falah DPS Jeddah by Miss Falak Jeelan and Master Mohammad Furqan Faheem, followed by IIS Jeddah Miss Safa Mohiuddin and Master Mustafa Khan as second and third position was notched by Basma Ahmed from Modern Middle East school, Riyadh and Miss Chaitanya Sree from IIS Al Jubail.
The competition was concluded with the vote of thanks.
