 
                RIYADH – The Embassy of India in Riyadh today marks the end of an era, celebrating the distinguished career of Shri Yaseen Khan, a highly respected member of its administrative staff, who retired after 40 years of exemplary service.
Shri Khan, who joined the Embassy in September 1985, concluded his illustrious career on September 30, 2025, upon attaining the age of 60.
Over the past four decades, Shri Khan has been a pillar of the Embassy’s day-to-day functioning, demonstrating an unwavering commitment, professionalism, and loyalty. His contributions were pivotal in transport services, diplomatic protocol, and logistical coordination, playing a vital role in the seamless execution of high-level visits, official delegations, and critical emergency movements.
Widely admired for his discipline, punctuality, and readiness to serve at any hour, Shri Khan became a familiar and dependable figure for diplomats and dignitaries. His extensive knowledge of local government offices, diplomatic procedures, and security protocols, combined with his strong relationships with Saudi authorities, significantly enhanced the Mission’s operational efficiency and reputation.
Shri Khan’s dedicated tenure included service during critical periods, such as the Gulf War, where he was instrumental in ensuring operational continuity and providing vital assistance to community members during times of crisis.
Beyond his official responsibilities, Shri Yaseen Khan is fondly remembered by the Indian diaspora for his unwavering support. He was known for being approachable and willing to assist, often going beyond the call of duty to help community members in need, leaving a lasting impact on countless families in the Kingdom.
Colleagues, diplomats, and community members alike describe him as a man of humility, sincerity, and integrity, whose service stands as an inspiration for future generations of Embassy staff.
Upon his retirement, Mr. Yaseen Khan expressed his heartfelt gratitude. “I am grateful to Almighty Allah for granting me the strength to serve with dedication and sincerity,” he said. “I also extend my sincere thanks to my colleagues at the Embassy of India in Riyadh for their continuous support and cooperation throughout my career. I am happy and proud to have had the opportunity to serve both the Embassy and the wider Indian community in Saudi Arabia.”
