Riyadh – The Embassy of India in Riyadh hosted a community reception this evening at the India House, bringing together members of the Indian diaspora in Riyadh. The event was hosted by His Excellency Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan as part of the Embassy’s ongoing community outreach initiatives.
Held against the backdrop of the prevailing regional situation, the gathering assumed special significance. It provided a meaningful platform for interaction while reinforcing the enduring spirit of unity and togetherness within the Indian community.
In his address, Ambassador Khan expressed sincere appreciation for the composure and resilience demonstrated by the Indian community during the current circumstances. He particularly commended the strong sense of solidarity shown by community members, who have stood shoulder to shoulder with their Saudi counterparts, reflecting deep-rooted mutual respect and cooperation.
Highlighting the Embassy’s proactive measures, Ambassador Khan outlined several initiatives undertaken to ensure uninterrupted support for the community. He emphasized the importance of adhering to advisories issued by the Embassy and noted that a 24-hour helpline remains operational to ensure continuous accessibility. Consular services have been maintained without disruption, while special consular camps have been organized—even under challenging conditions—to extend assistance closer to community members across the Kingdom.
The Ambassador also underscored the Embassy’s coordination efforts with schools and parents to address concerns related to CBSE examinations. He noted with satisfaction that the JEE examinations were successfully conducted recently in the Kingdom.
Reaffirming India’s longstanding position, Ambassador Khan emphasized that India stands firmly with the Saudi Arabia in support of its security, stability, and sovereignty. He reiterated India’s strong condemnation of attacks against the Kingdom while reaffirming its commitment to promoting peace, dialogue, and regional stability.
In his concluding remarks, Ambassador Khan expressed heartfelt gratitude to community leaders and volunteers for their tireless contributions.
