
In a groundbreaking move, Chair -English Education and Training Dr Khaja Yaminuddin, DTM successfully organized the first-ever English debate session in District 104,Region 11 marking a significant milestone in promoting critical thinking, public speaking, and intellectual discourse among the Toastmasters fraternity in District104.
The event brought together talented debaters from across the District, who passionately argued on thought-provoking topic ‘Bias and Selective Judging is a problem in Contests,’ showcasing their research, creativity, and conviction.
The debate session provided a platform for Toastmasters and guests to engage in respectful discussions, challenge perspectives, and develop essential skills.
The team arguing for the motion comprised of DTM Marwan Dashash, DTM Saji kuriakose ,DTM Basheer Ambalavan and TM Bilal.
The team arguing against the motion included DTM Ibrahim Maricar,DTM Saaed Al Ghamdi, TM Aslam and TM Asker.
The Moderators of the session were TM Omar Aqeel Khan and TM Azhar,who maintained the balance during the session.
The event was Anchored by Divison C Director TM Fatima Ali and Co Anchored by TM Wafa Saleem.


Three timers were in place to maintain the accuracy of the debate. Area 18 Director TM Saheer Abdul Qader led the team of timers ,TM Safa and TM Nivetha.
The debate was won by the team arguing in favor of the topic.
Best Speaker was TM Asker .
District 104 Director DTM Bala Subramaniyan, Program Quality Director TM Tariq Madani, Club Growth Director DTM Ilyas Baksh delivered inspirational speeches.
The event was successfully managed and captured by
District 104 logistics manager DTM Sameer Veeran and District PR TM Aaquil.
TM Mohd Siraj provided the venue Senyar Auditorium for the Debate.
Chair English Education and Training’s initiative aims to foster a culture of critical thinking, effective communication, and confidence-building among Toastmasters. By providing a supportive environment, the organization empowers Toastmasters to express themselves, explore ideas, and grow into informed, articulate, and open-minded individuals.
