RIYADH – Abu Mathen George assumed charge as the Deputy Chief of Mission in Embassy of India, Riyadh. Embassy family welcomed the new DCM and wished him good luck. Indian diaspora in the Kingdom also welcomed him on various social media platforms.
George was serving as First Secretary and then as Counselor (Commercial) in Washington DC before assuming charge in Riyadh. He belongs to the 2009 batch of IFS. He succeeds N. Ram Prasad as DCM in Indian Embassy Riyadh. This is George’s first posting in the Gulf region.
George graduated in law from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore and worked briefly as a lawyer with a number of civil society organizations. He acquired a diploma in Arabic from the American University in Cairo. He also completed master’s degree in public policy from Princeton University.
