RIYADH – What is written in destiny, only the Writer of destiny knows. An Indian pilgrim left Kolkata Airport for Madinah on Sunday. The passenger named Momina Khatoon suffered a heart attack during the flight. The flight of Flydeal Air was immediately de-routed and landed in emergency at Riyadh Airport. The woman was taken to King Abdullah Hospital inside Princess Noura University. After some time, she died during the treatment.

The incident was reported to the Embassy of India in Riyadh. With the support of EOI Secretary Community Welfare Moin Akhtar, Social Worker and Pravasi Bharatiya Awardee, Shihab Kottukad, completed all the burial rituals of this woman in Riyadh. The burial of this woman took place in Riyadh on Monday evening. The woman is accompanied by her husband Mohammad Sadrul Haq and son Mohammad Miraj. This family belongs to Darbhanga district of Bihar state in India. The funeral was attended by husband, children, Shihab Kottukad, Bihar community members etc. The deceased’s son Mohammad Meraj told that they will fly from Riyadh to Madinah tomorrow and return home after performing Haj. Miraj praised and thanked Indian Embassy Riyadh and social activist and Pravasi Bharatiya Awardee,  Shihab Kottukad for helping him in a foreign land.
