JEDDAH – Consulate General of India, Jeddah celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day with great fervor and enthusiasm, in its premises. Consul General (Designate) hoisted the National Flag. CJ Fahad Khan read the excerpts from the Address to the Nation by the Hon’ble President of India on the eve of the Independence Day, which highlighted the achievements of the nation in the past 77 years and the ongoing journey towards progress and prosperity. In his remarks, Shri Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Saudi authorities for their invaluable support in India’s Haj Operation and in Consulate’s efforts of providing welfare & support to Indian community within its jurisdiction. He emphasized the importance of the robust Indo-Saudi bilateral ties and the enduring people-to-people connections between the two nations. He expressed his commitment to further strengthen the relationship between the Indian Diaspora and the Consulate, underscoring his dedication to enhancing community engagement. In a move aimed at improving Consular service delivery mechanism, he announced that the Consulate will very soon start a new feedback mechanism for consular services, encouraging community members to share their experiences and suggestions. He assured the community of his dedication to addressing their concerns and improving the overall engagement with the Consulate. The celebration included a special performance by students from the International Indian School, Jeddah, who presented a rendition of patriotic songs, adding a vibrant and emotive touch to the celebration. The event was attended by a diverse audience including members of the Indian community, friends of India, media representatives, and Consulate staff along with their families.
