RIYADH – Bazme Urdu Toastmasters Club Riyadh organized the Installation Ceremony of their newly elected ExCom for the Toastmasters International’s Program Year 2024-25 at a dazzling function last Saturday night. Former Area Director DTM Syed Faisal administered the oath to the new cabinet in a solemn ceremony. The new ExCom includes TM Syed Ateeq as President, TM K. N. Wasif as Vice President Education, TM Syed Abdul Hamid as Vice President Membership, TM Syed Mubarak Hussain as Vice President Public Relations, Mohammed Mubeen as Secretary, Mohammed Farooquddin as Sergeant@Arms, and Abdul Khader Memon as Treasurer.
DTM Syed Faisal stressed the need of doing justice to the role accepted by anyone and in any organization, especially Toastmasters international. He motivated the audience by his personal anecdotes and other historical incidences. Toastmasters learn by doing. Each official leaves a challenge for his successor. This series paves the way for the development of the club.
DTM Samer Kamal, another seasoned Toastmaster who has held top positions at District level presented a live session on Pathways and demonstrated different features right from registration to Project completion. His presentation in a lucid manner captivated the attention of the Toastmasters and general audience both likewise. He explored and navigated thru all relevant steps in Path Ways and showed the way to become a successful public speaker and competent leader. He highlighted that Toastmasters International can boost the personality of an individual and at the same time beneficial in his career.
Immediate Past President TM K. N. Wasif presented his tenure report and highlighted the achievements. After which the President of the newly elected ExCom, TM Syed Ateeq Ahmed addressed the gathering and gave a detailed description of his ambitions and plans for the coming program year 2024-25.
Newly elected Area Director TM Mohammed Saifuddin also spoke on this occasion and advised the guests to get membership of Bazme Urdu Toastmasters Club. He advised the club members to complete the Path Ways at their earliest.
Senior Toastmaster DTM Mohammed Mubeen moderated the meeting. While addressing the gathering DTM Mubeen encouraged the audience to join and support BUTMC. He said that Bazme Urdu Toastmasters Club mainly works for the purpose of developing speaking ability and personality in Urdu language. Since the people of Urdu today hesitate to express themselves in their own language, BUTMC has decided to allow to present the speeches in English also apart from Urdu. This move by BUTMC was highly applauded by the yet to become members in the audience.
