Riyadh-Al Kharj – The 10th alumni meet of “The Alumni Association of Jamia Hamdard” (TAAJH) Riyadh-Al Kharj Chapter was held in Riyadh, KSA on November 11, 2022. The aim of the alumni meet was to highlight the contribution of Janab Hakeem Abdul Hameed Sahab, the founder of Jamia Hamdard in the field of education. The alumni across the KSA were the attendees of this meet. The Vice Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, Prof. M. Afshar Alam also participated through digital mode. The alumni meet was held under the patronage of Musharraf Ali and the presidentship of Prof. Nasir Ali Siddiqui. The honorable president of TAAJH in KSA (Prof. Nasir Ali Siddiqui) highlighted Late Janab Hakeem Abdul Hameed’s significant contribution in the field of education and the establishment of Jamia Hamdard. He also highlighted the role of the READS in the financial support of poor students across India.

Several indoor and outdoor games were also held during the meet. The winner and runner up teams were awarded trophies. This time, TAAJH also felicitated its “Excellence Achievers” in different fields such as information technology, management, pharmaceutical industries, academics, and research with awards and certificates. The recipients of excellence award include Prof. Faiyaz Shakil, Prof. Khalid R. Hakeem, Dr Faizan Rehman, Dr. Sheikh Shafiq, Dr Shadab Md., Dr. Majid A. Ganaie. In addition, the Hamdard alumni who were listed in the 2% World’s Scientist list of Stanford/Elsevier were felicitated with awards and certificates. This function was also attended by some eminent guests from Riyadh including Er. Anees ur Rehman (President JMI Alumni Association), Er. Syed Mohd. Mutayyab (Ex-president, AMOUBA, Riyadh), Dr. Dilshad Ahmad (President, IFE, Riyadh) and Salman Khalid. The vote of thanks was given by Dr. Raisuddin. Gala dinner was arranged at the conclusion of the event.
