RIYADH – RISA’s Million Message Campaign, a substance abuse prevention initiative under the UNODC-recognized Subair Kunju Foundation, was launched on October 2nd, Gandhi Jayanti.

RISA (Riyadh Initiative against Substance Abuse) is a Campaign announced by Subair Kunju Foundation. It is a campaign against the hazards of tobacco, alcohol and various other addictive drugs started in June 2012.

Aimed at preventing addiction before it begins, RISA’s campaign, which has been active for over a decade, will run for six weeks until November 14th, Nehru Jayanti Day.

During the campaign, RISA-prepared anti-drug flyers and leaflets will be widely distributed through educational institutions, social organizations, prominent figures, social media platforms, websites, and various retail outlets.

Campaign programs will be conducted directly and also in collaboration with organizations with similar goals to address the increasing consumption of all types of intoxicants, including drugs, alcohol, and tobacco.

In the Middle East, these programs will include poster exhibitions, documentary screenings, pamphlet distribution, and interactive sessions organized in partnership with social groups.

RISA’s Free Trainer Training Program (RISA-TOT) will also expand during the campaign.
