The Jeddah Tamil Sangam Award Ceremony for 2024 celebrated the academic achievements of Tamil students who scored the highest marks in the 10th and 12th classes. This event was recently held at Star Restaurant, Azizia Jeddah The event recognized the hard work and dedication of the students and their parents.
The event was meticulously organized by Jeddah Tamil Sangam (JTS), with Murthy arranging bouquets to warmly welcome the participants. Key organizers Ramanujam, Senthil Raja, Seeni Ali, Prem and Ahmed Basha ensured the ceremony proceeded smoothly.
Kaja Mohideen delivered the welcome address, followed by Siraj, a senior member of JTS, who highlighted the Sangam’s features and functions. In the context of JTS’s 25th-year celebration, Siraj honored the legacy and vision of the late Abdul Malik, the association’s founder.
Special guests Mrs. Farah Masood, Vice Principal of Indian International School, and Mrs. Bhuvaneshwari Subramaniam, Principal of Al Warud School, delivered keynote addresses, recognizing the students’ outstanding achievements. Tamil teachers Mrs. Bhanu and Mrs. Ayisha congratulated the students, and Dr. Jayashree provided a motivational speech.
Dignitaries such as Abdul Majeed, Haleem and Taha from the Indian Welfare Forum, along with Nasir Vavakunj of the Haj Forum, graced the event. The ceremony concluded with Siva’s vote of thanks, and the event was expertly compered by Jai Shanker and coordinated by Murali.
