RIYADH – Dr. Abdul Qadeer addressed as the keynote speaker at the seminar entitled “Navigating Education Pathways in India” organized by Indian Forum for Education [IFE] Riyadh. He said “No compromise can be made with our culture and identity. Its safety is our first responsibility.” Dr. Abdul Qadeer is the Chairman of Shaheen Group of Institutions. Dr. Nadeem Tarin, a well Known philanthropist and Education was the Chief Guest of the evening.
Dr. Abdul Qadeer is currently on a visit to Saudi Arabia with his delegation. This delegation includes Muhammad Ayub Sawanur, M. Abdul Hai, Ashraf Ali, Afzal Sharif, Mahfouz Zariwala, Mufti Abdul Hameed, Qaiser Khan and Roshan Zamir.
Dr. Abdul Qadeer said in his address that it is as important as acquiring knowledge, it is equally important to maintain one’s identity. For this it is necessary to establish our own educational institutions. He said that the aim of his group is to see thousands of Shaheens of knowledge flying in the sky of our country. Dr. Qadeer, who has the same passion as Sir Syed, said that with the support of the pained people of the nation, educational institutions of this type have been established in 14 states of India so far. Thousands of male and female students are studying while maintaining their culture and identity. He said that Shaheen Institution is always ready to extend its full cooperation to the founders of educational institutions in the country and abroad.
Dr. Qadeer said with regret that today the nation’s money is being spent on marriage and other unfruitful rituals. He told the parents that instead of worrying about the wedding ornaments, they should worry about equipping their children with the jewels of education.
Dr. Qadeer has organized Shaheen’s special education programs like Academic ICU, Tahfeez Plus to prepare Hufaz (Quran memorizers) for medical and engineering courses, re-linking drop-out students to education, linking orphans, destitute and poor children to education with financial assistance. They shed light on giving new life.
Dr. Nadeem Tarin, while addressing the audience, said that as Shaheen Institution is spreading the light of knowledge and people should come forward to take the cause further. He also said that our existing educational institutions should be strengthened and developed. He also said that sponsoring is not the only solution to uplift the community but we should support Shaheen academy to achieve the target of producing Leaders from within the community. Dr. Tarin’s services in the field of education are valuable to the country and in the Kingdom.
Along with Dr. Qadeer, members of the delegation who are running educational institutions under the guidance of Shaheen Group in different parts of the country also narrated their experiences while addressing the seminar.
Prof. Jahangeer started the event by inviting distinguished guests on the stage. It was followed by the recitation of the Holy Quran by then Maulana Abdul Rehman Omri. IFE President Dr. Dilshad Ahmad while giving detailed information on the activities of the forum said that the forum has the honor of bringing the NEET center to Riyadh. In the beginning, the guests were felicitated by the forum and social organizations of Riyadh. Salman Khalid (IFE senior member) performed the duties of administration in an effective manner. Eng. Farhan Hashmi coordinated the question and answer session.
The event was held at Red Onion Banquet Hall which was falling short of space with the large attendance of the audience. Eng. Hashmi presented the vote of thanks and the event concluded late night with dinner.
