Would you like to remember what happened during the Covid Era! Do you get scared or
concerned if there is any health issue which creates panic, just like how Covid did?
So we humans just get impressed ONLY when we see the tip of the iceberg!!
Just the thought to have a biscuit dipped in my favorite cup of tea, at times is a distant
dream. Especially when the phone rings and the voice at the other end says, Doctor, you
have a patient for consultation! As a doctor with compassion, I could not help myself but
to leave immediately.
At times, I tend to think that if I had married the hospital, patients would have been my
kids and the administration- my in-laws.
As a doctor, on behalf of the medical fraternity, we do not run away from our
responsibilities. My Soul is not dead! My humanity has not drowned. There is a general
comment that usually doctors just make money, but are of little help. Then I ponder,
when I receive all those unknown calls and during those calls, I deliver those
prescriptions.
I move to share, I am not one of those
Who can’t look into anyone’s eyes!
I fail to understand, as how to explain,
Oh dear humanity, why don’t you gain?
Deceiving yourself, ignoring your own health,
Blaming the doctor, whenever you came.
Take good care of yourself, eat healthy
Avoid food which is oily.
Drink water, stay healthy, and avoid Pepsi.
I have always believed that you can achieve anything you want, if you help enough
people get what they want. As a conscious mind, I believe that the air I breathe, the food I
feed should be pious. And this particular thought does not allow us to deceive humanity.
Medicine isn’t magic any time! You must have first, have a lot of patience to learn to
have patience. At times, if I ever switch off my phone, often I get calls and I give a courtesy call back.
I hear a lot when people do say, oh I called you 10 times, and you are
never just away. What is the point of being a doctor?
After I hear this, I get a notion
Seems I am on call 24/7!
Power of words, oh my dear,
They either make or break you here.
It’s a theory that has been tested…intentions. Every intention of mine, which can be of
help to humanity, irrespective of anything, I make it my goal. When I look at some,
smiling after they leave my clinic, the memories of those moments are worth anything.
And those who are unsatisfied, I still try, keep smiling, after all a smile is a curve that can
set things straight!
It goes beyond saying that this topic is important to me and here’s why it should be
important for you too…we have to change the perception, the way we think. Words do 2
major things: they provide food for the mind and create light for understanding and
awareness. For many people, a simple task becomes complicated when we lose focus.
Covid has taught us a lot, but are we ready to learn? Is it not imperative to have a healthy
balanced lifestyle? We don’t know what’s around the corner, we need to establish healthy
eating practices! We recycle everything, it’s time to recycle ourselves, our thoughts .I
thought this was important and something to ponder on… think about it.
