
RIYADH – Indian diaspora in Riyadh hosted a grand reception and interactive session for Reyazul Haque Raju, a young dynamic leader and Member of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) National Committee from Bihar, during his recent visit to the Kingdom. The event, held at the Cherries Banquet Hall in Malaz, brought together a large and enthusiastic gathering of community members, including dignitaries from numerous Riyadh-based social and cultural organizations.
The primary objective of the gathering was to engage with the dynamic RJD leader on the prevailing conditions of minority communities in India and to understand the RJD’s vision for their future.
The proceedings were conducted by Saqib Manzar Khan and his friend. The evening began with a recitation from the Holy Quran. Ghazanfar Ali Khan Ex-Bureau Chief Arab News delivered a welcome address, greeting the guests and highlighting the achievements of Reyazul Haque Raju.
Throughout the evening, office bearers from various community associations felicitated Reyazul Haque Raju with bouquets, souvenirs, and shawls as tokens of respect. Several community leaders graced their presence in this event, including Amanullah Khan, Dr. Inamullah Baig, Suhail Ahmed Ladle, Ghazanfar Ali Khan, Ahmad Khallaq, Parvez Ahmad, ZeeshanAli Laddo, Mohammed Asrar and others. The speakers shared their perspectives on India’s political climate and the challenges faced by minority groups.
In his keynote address, Reyazul Haque Raju presented the vision of the RJD’s leadership and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to India’s secular values.
“Our party has a clear and unwavering commitment to the nation’s secular fabric,” Mr. Raju stated. “We are actively engaging with the public through ‘chawpal’ (street corner) meetings at the city level across the State to bring awareness about the need for institutional integrity within the democratic process.”




During the subsequent question-and-answer session, Mr. Raju confidently addressed inquiries from the media and community members. When asked about the potential impact of parties like AIMIM and the Surjan Party on the outcome of the Bihar elections, he asserted that their influence would be negligible on the election results.
The proceedings, conducted by Saqib Manzar Khan, featured addresses from several community leaders who shared their perspectives on India’s political climate. Syed Aftab Ali Nizami, former President of the Jamia Millia Riyadh Chapter, delivered the vote of thanks. The event concluded with a sumptuous dinner and an informal session where Mr. Raju personally interacted with community members, who praised the organizers for a successful and beneficial community event.
