Riyadh – Alif International School, Riyadh, marked World Environment Day with a vibrant and impactful ‘Green Campus Project’. The campus turned into green as hundreds of students actively participated in a large-scale tree-planting initiative. With enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility, students planted saplings across the school grounds, symbolizing their commitment to protecting nature and contributing to a greener future. The initiative aimed to instill environmental values and sustainable habits among young learners.
The World Environment Day celebrations were formally inaugurated by Faisal Thaufiq Jibtaini, who led the sapling plantation drive and set the tone for the programme. He expressed hope that such initiatives would help shape a generation that values ecological balance and long-term environmental care. As part of the school’s ongoing green initiative, students will also take responsibility for nurturing and maintaining the saplings they planted.
The event was attended by the CEO of Alif Group of Schools Lukman Ahmed, Principal Muhammad Mustafa, Vice Principal Naushad Nalakkath, Admin Manager Ali Bukhari, and Heads of Section Anas K, Ayisha Banu, Zuberiya, and Vismi Ratheesh, whose presence reinforced the institution’s strong commitment to environmental initiatives and student-led sustainability programmes.
