Riyadh: The Gulbarga Welfare Society (GWS) hosted a vibrant and well‑attended family get‑together at Qasr Isteraha Banquet Hall in Riyadh, bringing together a large number of Gulbarga residents along with their families and children. The event highlighted the organization’s ongoing commitment to community welfare, unity, and social development.
Pravasi Bharatiya Samman awardee and renowned social worker Dr. Syed Anwar Khursheed attended as the Chief Guest, while Mr. Mukhtarullah Zanjani Jagirdar, President of GWS, presided over the program.
Chief Guest Commends GWS for Its Humanitarian Efforts
In his keynote address, Dr. Syed Anwar Khursheed praised the Gulbarga Welfare Society for its impactful initiatives supporting underprivileged communities both in Saudi Arabia and India. He emphasized the responsibility of expatriates to uphold the values of the Kingdom and contribute positively to society, stating that the opportunities and stability provided by the country should inspire individuals to serve as ambassadors of their heritage.
Leadership Highlights Mission of Unity and Service
GWS Advisor Mr. Syed Nasir Khursheed applauded the dedication of the Riyadh chapter and encouraged members to expand their outreach to benefit more families in need. He also acknowledged the founders, the India team, and GWS chapters across the Kingdom for their collective efforts.
President Mr. Mukhtarullah Zanjani Jagirdar reiterated that the society’s mission extends beyond charitable work, focusing on fostering unity, brotherhood, and mutual cooperation. He noted that the gathering symbolized a renewed commitment to strengthening community bonds.
Vice President Mr. Tameem Ul Hassan delivered an engaging presentation on the society’s journey, highlighting its inclusive service to individuals irrespective of caste, creed, or religion. He showcased past initiatives, success stories, and future plans, receiving enthusiastic applause from attendees.
Recognition of Contributors and Sponsors
As a gesture of appreciation, a memento was presented to Chief Guest Dr. Syed Anwar Khursheed. Executive committee members of the Riyadh chapter were also honored for their dedicated service.
A special memento was awarded to Golden Sponsor Mr. Abdul Majeed Bathruddin, CEO and Managing Director of UIC Saudi Arabia, received on his behalf by Mr. Hyder Ali, Branch Manager, UIC Riyadh.
Another memento was presented to Engr. Abdul Ghani Khan, Managing Director of Arab Innovative International Association Company, for the organization’s support.





Additional recognitions were given to Mr. Shafat Farouqui, Category Marketing Manager at Almarai, and Mr. Ahmadullah Abdul Hadi, Managing Director of Giordano, whose memento was received by Mr. Abdul Saleem, Area Sales Manager, Riyadh.
New Executive Members and Launch of Women’s Wing
President Mukhtarullah Jagirdar inducted new executive committee members, including:

A Women’s Wing was formally launched, with Mrs. Mukhtarullah Jagirdar appointed as Lady Coordinator. The team includes:
Mrs. Tameemul Hassan, Mrs. Mohammed Hisamuddin, Mrs. Mohammed Azharuddin, Mrs. Dr. Khaja Moinuddin, Mrs. Syed Rehan Barey, and Mrs. Syed Rizwan Nasir.
The Women’s Wing immediately engaged families by organizing sports activities, a quiz, and a drawing competition for children. Families of committee members pledged their support to strengthen this new initiative.
Interactive Activities and Cultural Engagement
An Islamic quiz conducted by Mr. Mohammed Adil saw enthusiastic participation, with Engr. Abdullah Moizuddin emerging as the winner.
The program began with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Master Sulaiman Rizwan, followed by a warm welcome address from Chief Coordinator Dr. Khaja Moinuddin.
Children’s games coordinated by Dr. Khaja Moinuddin, Rizwan Syed Bare, and Mr. Tameem Ul Hassan added joy and energy to the event. Gifts were distributed to all winners and participants.
PR Coordinator Mr. Mohammed Hisamuddin ensured a gracious reception for all guests, sponsors, and dignitaries.
The event was hosted by Mr. Mohammed Azharuddin, an accomplished speaker and active Toastmaster of GWS, who enriched the program with Urdu poetry, earning appreciation from the audience.
