Riyadh: As part of an ongoing community outreach initiative, the Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Suhel Khan, visited the Eastern Province on April 12–13, engaging with large gatherings of the Indian community in both Jubail and Dammam.
Interaction with Indian Community in Jubail
On April 12, Ambassador Khan met with a significant gathering of Indian nationals in Jubail. The session provided an open platform for community members to share concerns, seek clarifications, and receive updates on consular matters.
The interaction was facilitated by Expertise Co. Ltd, under the leadership of its President and CEO, Mr. Mohammed Ashif.
Ambassador Khan assured attendees of the Embassy’s full support and reaffirmed the mission’s commitment to addressing community needs promptly and effectively.
Engagement in Dammam with Indian Overseas Forum
Continuing his outreach, Ambassador Khan visited Dammam on April 13, where he participated in an interactive session organized by the Indian Overseas Forum. Senior functionaries Mr. Anil Malpani and Mr. Mukesh Gupta played an active role in coordinating the event.
The gathering brought together representatives of various community organizations, business leaders, volunteers, and prominent members of the Indian diaspora.
Ambassador Appreciates Community Resilience
In his remarks, Ambassador Khan expressed deep appreciation for the Indian community’s composure and resilience during the current regional situation. He highlighted the solidarity shown by Indian expatriates toward their Saudi friends and colleagues, noting that such unity reflects the longstanding spirit of mutual respect and cooperation between the two nations.
He emphasized that India has consistently stood with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in support of its security, stability, and sovereignty. He reiterated India’s strong condemnation of attacks targeting the Kingdom and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to peace, dialogue, and regional stability.







Embassy Measures for Community Welfare
Ambassador Khan outlined several steps taken by the Embassy to ensure the welfare of Indian nationals, particularly in the Eastern Province. These include:
- Continuous issuance of advisories to guide community members
- A 24-hour operational helpline to ensure round‑the‑clock accessibility
- Uninterrupted delivery of consular services
- Organization of consular camps in various locations to bring services closer to residents, even under challenging circumstances
He urged the community to remain attentive to Embassy advisories and to utilize available support channels whenever needed.
