Riyadh – The 34th Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Zonal Basketball Championship 2026–2027 culminated in a thrilling and high-spirited final match between New Middle East International School (NMEIS) and Delhi Public School, Riyadh (DPS). The much-anticipated encounter not only lived up to expectations but also showcased an impressive display of athleticism, teamwork, and competitive spirit.
Right from the opening whistle, both teams demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and determination. The players exhibited exceptional skill in each quarter, keeping the audience thoroughly engaged. NMEIS began the match on a promising note, putting up a spirited fight and challenging their formidable opponents with energy and intent. Their early efforts reflected strong preparation and a commendable desire to excel on such a prestigious platform.
However, as the match progressed, DPS Riyadh gradually took control of the game. Their superior coordination, tactical awareness, and composed execution became increasingly evident. With swift passes, accurate shooting, and seamless teamwork, DPS outclassed their opponents and steadily widened the score gap. Ultimately, they secured a commanding victory with a scoreline of 74–18, once again emerging as champions and proudly upholding their decade-long dominance in the tournament.
