Hyderabad — In a shining example of entrepreneurial spirit and dedication, NRI couple Syed Murtuza Qadri and Fayaza Nisa have transformed their return from Saudi Arabia into a remarkable success story with the launch of Patisserie 18, a stylish bakery and café in Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills.
Armed with MBA degrees and catering diplomas from Bangalore and London, the couple leveraged their international experience and business acumen. Fayaza Nisa, a certified chef with a Diploma in French Patisserie from City & Guilds, UK, brought an artisanal touch to their venture. After returning to Hyderabad, they started small with Cloud Bakery in Tolichowki, quickly earning a loyal customer base with their quality cakes and bakery items.
Encouraged by their initial success, the couple celebrated the grand opening of Patisserie 18 on August 3, 2025, at Road No. 1, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. The event, graced by Murtuza’s and Nisa’s families, included complimentary coffee for the first 50 guests, offering a variety of gourmet sandwiches, desserts, and premium coffee from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Customers can order in advance or book party orders with 48 hours’ notice.
Their story stands as an inspiration for fellow NRIs and the wider community, showing how hard work, education, and passion can turn dreams into reality. Murtuza and Nisa exemplify how returning professionals can create opportunities and become role models for the next generation.
