JEDDAH – The Telangana International Association (TIA) successfully launched a vital electoral awareness campaign in Jeddah. More than 150 Indian diaspora members gathered at The Village Restaurant to understand the Election Commission of India’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. The event provided
overseas citizens with crucial clarity on safeguarding their democratic privileges. Dr.Mohammed Saleem Chairman TIA, delivered the welcome address and reaffirmed the platform’s dedication to community welfare, education, and cultural preservation.
Navigating home-country bureaucracy from abroad often presents distinct hurdles. TIA Vice Chairman Dr. Mirza Qudrath Nawaz Baig addressed these common anxieties directly. He noted that many long-term NRIs struggle with the SIR process due to missing documents or uncertain registration statuses. This session offered authentic guidance to ensure a smooth, panic-free verification process.
The event leveraged digital connectivity to bring top-tier expertise directly from Hyderabad via Zoom. Senior journalist M.A. Majid opened the floor by highlighting the strategic importance of the SIR for overseas voters. Following his insights, Youth Welfare Telangana President Syed Jalaluddin Zafar delivered a simplified, technical walkthrough of the registration portal. High Court Advocate Mohammed Waseem then fortified the discussion by detailing the legal protections and constitutional rights available to NRI voters.
An interactive Q&A session, moderated by TIA Associate Director Syed Afzal, allowed attendees to resolve specific procedural doubts. This hands-on approach earned high praise from the community, who described the initiative as both timely and essential.

Established in February 2026, TIA operates as a powerful consortium of prominent Jeddah-based organizations. The alliance includes groups like Bazm-e-Ittehad, Khak-e-Taiba Trust, and the Global Telangana Forum. TIA Chairman Dr. Saleem reaffirmed the platform’s dedication to community welfare, education, and cultural preservation.
The seamless execution of the seminar relied heavily on TIA’s dedicated leadership and technical teams. IT Team Mohammed Asif, Abdul Rahman and Haseeb Sarwar secured the virtual link.
