Hyderabad – Renowned press photographer K. N. Wasif called on Mr. K. Srinivas Reddy, Chairman of the Telangana Press Academy, at the Academy’s office in Hyderabad, where he formally presented his acclaimed photographic work, India’s Architectural Heritage.
Mr. Srinivas Reddy spent time reviewing the book and expressed deep appreciation for its visual richness, meticulous documentation, and artistic presentation. He commended Wasif’s dedication to preserving India’s architectural legacy through compelling imagery. The meeting was also attended by Mr. M. A. Majid, President of the Telangana Urdu Working Journalists Federation.
India’s Architectural Heritage is a comprehensive and aesthetically curated volume that captures the grandeur, craftsmanship, and intricate detailing of India’s medieval monuments. The book reflects Wasif’s long-standing passion and commitment to architectural photography, a field in which he has earned notable distinction.


With more than a decade of experience as a staff photographer for leading Hyderabad-based newspapers — Siasat, Deccan Chronicle, and Indian Express (1980–1992) — Wasif later expanded his professional journey by working with ALBEENA, a reputed architectural magazine published from Saudi Arabia. His specialization in architectural photography and years of dedicated fieldwork culminated in this prestigious publication, which was produced in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The interaction at the Press Academy highlighted the importance of visual documentation in preserving cultural heritage and acknowledged the significant contribution of photographers like K. N. Wasif in bringing India’s architectural brilliance to global attention.
