KALABURAGI (Karanataka) – In a significant move to bolster the regional education sector, the Gulbarga Welfare Society (GWS) successfully hosted its inaugural Teachers’ Job Fair 2026 at the Kabab Corner Banquet Hall. The event served as a vital nexus, connecting over 20 premier educational institutions from Afzalpur, Yadgir, Sedam, and Kalaburagi with nearly 200 aspiring educators.
A Vision for Professional Upliftment
Addressing the assembly, Abdul Haseeb Nouman, President of GWS, underscored the necessity of the initiative. Quoting the adage, “Need is the mother of innovation,” he explained that the fair was designed to solve the logistical hurdles schools and teachers face during recruitment.
“Our vision is to bridge the gap between institutions seeking excellence and educators seeking opportunity,” Mr. Nouman stated. “GWS remains committed to the upliftment of all people, irrespective of caste, creed, or religion. From providing Kannada language training to 200 individuals to conducting computer literacy courses, our goal is to enhance employability across the board.”
Mr. Nouman further committed to making the Teachers’ Job Fair an annual fixture on the region’s academic calendar.
Stakeholder Perspectives
The event drew high praise from various academic leaders:
- Mohammed Rafeeq (Treasurer, GWS & Proprietor, Asra Public School): Emphasized that the fair benefits both ends of the spectrum. He noted that quality education is inseparable from well-trained teachers and called on parents to remain vigilant regarding their children’s attendance and progress.
- Zameer Ahmed (Chairman, Innovative Group of Institutions): Commended the GWS for the seamless organization, noting the high caliber of candidates available for various subjects.
